Trip to CoMo
Lot of things to talk about that happened in the recent past, especially on my trip to Mizzou to attend my graduation ceremony. The flight journey till Chicago was good with the company of a Mexican girl. We both had a great time together talking about each others' cultures, religions, traditions, countries and what not! A little about her - She was very friendly, from Mexico, is an International Business Student at some university in North Carolina. She was going to Mexico on a holiday and shez gonna come back to the US to work at Orlando for Disney. So, we talked through out our journey and we became good friends. We had lunch together at Mc D's and then took a pic of us together and bid farewell to each other. It was really a memorable journey.
OK, so from St. Louis, where I met Varun (nice to see him after quite a few months), who came to pick me up at the airport, we drove to CoMo in the night. There I was - Back to CoMo for two golden days with Friends, Friends and Friends... whom I missed badly after I moved from CoMo.
The Graduation Day! (12/19/08 - Friday) We all went together walking till the venue as a typical Desi gang! Dressed ourselves up for the graduation. The ceremony started, and after the speeches came our turn to Walk. I don't know why but I went completely blank on the stage. My sub-conscious mind was making me smile and thank, which I did even before the presenters said congratulations! :D After it all got over, we had a very long photo-session in various group formations. But, I forgot to get some solo pictures of mine. However, we got some really good group pics.
After-night party!!! Had a blast! Most of us were high, but we didn't dance as we used to do before. We got cool Mizzou mugs as graduation gifts on which everyone, who was present at the party, signed.
The next day - were just lazying around till we decided to go to the movie, Slumdog Millionaire, which was a spur of the moment choice. The movie was good only in parts. After that, had a good dinner. We got the food ordered from Taj and was delicious.
That's all and the next day, back again to VA! On the whole, it was a really fun and memorable trip to my CoMo!
Woohoo! Got a Job, finally!!
Actually, I got the offer for Jr. Developer position with Symplicity(Company's name) earlier this week, but accepted it only today after careful consideration.
Rejection Reply!
I was disappointed looking at job rejections coming my way! However, I wanted to reply to one such rejection letter appreciating their efforts in the hiring process. I was searching for a good template for that, and while doing that, I found an interesting template, rather I'd say funny, which eased my mind instantly. LOL. Here it goes!
Dear [Interviewer's Name]:
Thank you for your letter of [Date of Interview].
After careful consideration, I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me employment with your firm. This year I have had been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually large number of rejection letters.
With such a varied and promising field of candidates, it is impossible for me to accept all refusals.
Despite [Firm's Name]'s outstanding qualifications and previous experience in rejecting applicants, I find that your rejection does not meet with my needs at this time.
Therefore, I will initiate employment with your firm immediately following graduation. I look forward to seeing you then.
Best of luck in rejecting future candidates.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]
How was that?? :D

No activity since long time! An idea flashed in my mind - why don't I keep a log of quotes that impressed me or inspired me! Ya, this post is going to be for that. I would just add to this post whenever I find a new quote.
1. After the game, the King and the pawn go in the same box - Albert Einstein
2. If you don't like something, try to change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude!
3. Do not fear going forward slowly; fear only to stand still.

What's up?
It's been a while since I've made my last post. So, what's new on my side? Done with Master's! Moved to Herndon, VA to join in a consultancy. Missing friends and the place as well, Columbia, MO!! Getting bored! Struggling to start learning JAVA! That's all. :(
Big Questions!!
Can we trust at least one person in the world? Can we trust our own self??
Do we act or behave or talk sensibly when we are drunk, or do we just get carried away by the mood?
[Edited] I posted this when I was high!! :P
Charity, My Friend!
"We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But if that drop was not in the ocean, I think the ocean would be less because of that missing drop. I do not agree with the big way of doing things."
I absolutely believe in this saying and I don't think I have to elaborate. Just try to help when you find some one in need in whatever way you can. True charity is the desire to be useful to others without any thought of recompense, irrespective of how much you do! Believe me, it gives you immense satisfaction!
